Photo Fight

I know, I know. We are on hiatus until September. That is still true! But I wanted to take a moment to let you guys know what at least two of us are up to in the mean time.

Nathan and I are both competing in something called Photo Fight. We’ll be taking pictures, they will be posted, people will vote, and only one will survive. Or, at least only one person will be declared the winner. The other will just be sad.

Anyways, pictures start getting posted on July 1st, and the bios are already up. So, go check it out!

A Response to “Christian Objectivity: Polygyny”

Last week, my fellow blogger Staples offered up an argument in defense of polygyny. Love Wins: A Few Good Thoughts

I wanted to like this book. I watched as conservative bloggers jumped on the train to burn this book, and some of them certainly jumped the gun, condemning it far too early to be appropriate. While I land in the decidedly conservative theological camp, I am willing to call out conservatives when they are giving us a bad name. Damning a book to a place it allegedly argues may or may not exist before it comes out is a practice too full of uncertainties and overly zealous bloggers. Continue reading

Osama Bin Laden is Dead: Response and Reflection

Yesterday, President Obama announced that the United States conducted an operation that resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden. The U.S. has been after Bin Laden since September 11th, 2001, and many people have rejoiced greatly that this long-standing mission has now been completed.
